A National Park Medical Center Hero

Jean Foxworth Was Selected As One of the Top Five in the National Ansell Health Heros Award

National Park Medical Center’s Jean Foxworth was selected as one of the top five in the national Ansell Health Heroes Award. Jean has been a nurse at NPMC for more than 40 years. She has served in many roles from manager to staff nurse and has a wide range of skills from newborn/pediatrics to geriatrics and surgical. She is well respected by physicians across many specialties. She was nominated for the award by co-worker Elizabeth Mauldin who said, “Jean will do whatever it takes to cover her unit, especially pediatrics. She comes in on her days off to lend a hand. If she knows that a family is in need, she will buy supplies and food for them out of her own pocket. Patients often request her. We love her. She’s our HERO.” Jean was grateful and humbled by the award, saying she “couldn’t have done it without the teamwork of everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart so very much.” For details and to view all of the winners, visit http://www.ansellhero.com/en/winners.
