Missoula Food Bank Receives Community Volunteers

Community workers bond over Honey Nut Cheerios.

The entire staff of Home & Community Based Services (12 social work case managers, five RN case managers, three support staff, and one supervisor) volunteered at the Missoula Food Bank on Tuesday, August 30, as part of our annual team-building day. We stocked produce, filled Ziploc bags with Honey Nut Cheerios, hardboiled eggs, and grapes for the Kids’ Table after-school program snacks, and washed dishes (a first, according to the volunteer coordinator). We experienced first-hand what an invaluable resource the Food Bank is for so many of our clients, and we enjoyed spending time with each other out of the office while participating in community service. Thanks to Community for this amazing opportunity!
