Family of Nurses Choose SWMC for Family Environment

Southwestern Medical Center has a growing family of nurses who, combined, bring to their team 88 years of nursing experience.

Nita Cory, RN, her sister, Angela Shelton, RN and three daughters Sarah Kelly, RN, Leah Ramirez-Sigala, RN and Rachel Soliz, RN, are following a family tradition, started by Nita and Angela’s older sister. Since that time, Nita said there are now about 35 brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in the medical profession.

“We’re a family who likes working in a family atmosphere,” stated Nita. “That’s why we’re here.”

And to top it all off, two more family members joined the SWMC team in August.
