WVMC Committee Hosts Community Event

Community Service Committee Donates Proceeds to Local Program

Willamette Valley Medical Center (WVMC) has an employee-led community service committee that organizes two annual events for the community, in addition to managing quarterly highway clean-up teams.

This year, WVMC hosted a free event, Girls’ Night Out, which was dedicated to women’s health. The event featured local vendors and fun activities for attendees to enjoy.

WVMC donated $2,000 of the proceeds to the McMinnville Kids on the Block, an after-school enrichment program. This donation will help provide two scholarships so more children can be enrolled in the program. The Kids on the Block program provides children with a meal, tutoring, exercise, and helps educate them on daily living skills.

The hospital and the community service committee are proud to support such an excellent program!
