The Quality and Safety Leadership team at RCCH is composed of a team of subject matter experts that maintain the ability to cross cover for each other as needed. The team consists of three RNs and two MDs. The roles responsibilities and expertise are described below.

Herman Williams, MD, MBA

Chief Clinical Officer (CCO)

Dr. Williams serves as Chief Clinical Officer for RCCH and in that role, oversees all quality, safety, and clinical activities for the company. Dr. Williams specializes in Medical Staff Credentialing, Peer Review and Bylaws redesign. He also leads the efforts for RCCH’s journey to become a Highly Reliable and Safe Organization. He works closely with other physician team members to develop Physician Leadership Groups at all RCCH facilities.

Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO)

Vishal Bhatia, MD, MBA, CMIO and ACMO for RCCH Healthcare Partners, works with physicians and hospital staff to support the efficient design, implementation and use of healthcare technology to help improve the quality of patient care. He is part of the RCCH quality division and leads the company’s physician engagement and physician leadership development efforts. Vishal is also key in evaluating, assessing and optimizing inpatient clinical programs to enhance clinical quality, safety and efficiency.

Vice President, Clinical Operations, Chief Quality Officer

Dana Rice serves as Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Quality Officer. In her 27 years as a Registered Nurse, she has served as Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer and has held hospital director roles in Quality, Risk and Case Management. Dana works closely with hospital leaders on clinical operations and processes that improve patient quality, safety, and efficiency. In addition to RN, Dana holds a degree in Health Services Management and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. She is also nationally board certified in Case Management (CCM).

Vice President, Regulatory Compliance and Clinical Risk Management

Beverly Craig serves as Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Clinical Risk Management. Beverly oversees facility compliance with standards of The Joint Commission, CMS and multiple other accrediting agencies. Her role also includes a focus on all aspects of patient safety. She serves on the Quality Committee for the Federation of American Hospitals, the Professional Technical Advisory Committee of TJC and is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM)

Vice President, Clinical Quality

Eileen Barnes serves as Vice President, Clinical Quality. Ms. Barnes oversees strategies for improvements at all our sites, working with local clinical and hospital leaders to insure a high level of quality care. Eileen Barnes works primarily on site with hospital staff and leaders to implement sustained process improvement and achieve clinical quality outcomes. As part of the RCCH Quality Division. Ms. Barnes assists local hospitals with clinical leadership development and succession planning for Nursing and Quality.
