ORHC Employee of the Year
Employees Honored By CEO at Banquet
At a recent employee banquet, Ottumwa Regional Health Center honored all employees who were recognized as Employees of the Month in 2016 as healthcare heroes. Out of these employees, ORHC chose one as the Employee of the Year for 2016.
“This is always an exceptional group,” said Phil Noel, CEO. “Anyone who works in and around healthcare is a hero in my book, but these people consistently go above and beyond. Their peers have chosen this recognition for them. It was a very difficult decision to choose one of them as Employee of the Year.”
Nominees for Employee of the Year were:
- Kathie Jean Olinger, Admitting
- Alice Brinegar, Imaging
- Jess Huggins, Women and Family
- Mendy Shepard, Emergency Department
- David Holland, Information Systems
- Gretchen Springer, Emergency Department
- Zach Bedford, Plant Operations
- Alyssa Harris, Acute Rehab Unit
The crowd cheered as Alice Brinegar, Mammography Tech in the ORHC Imaging Department was officially recognized as the 2016 Employee of the Year. Brinegar has given 36 years of service to Ottumwa Regional Health Center and was thrilled to receive this award. “I think I have one of the best jobs in the hospital!” she said. “I have the good fortune to be able to see my patients each year. I get to know them and know the things that are important to them, like their families, their dreams and goals. I get to laugh and cry with them.”
Congratulations, Alice Brinegar, ORHC Employee of the Year for 2016!
