New Technology at Ottumwa Regional Health Center
Renovated Digital X-Ray Suite and 3D Mammography
A busy open house was held in the Imaging Department at Ottumwa Regional Health Center on Wednesday, February 1st to showcase a newly renovated digital X-Ray suite and new 3D mammography machine as well as an updated look throughout the department. It was also an opportunity to talk to providers and community leaders about the comprehensive array of imaging services available to the ORHC service area.
“We truly have a wide-array of imaging amenities in our hospital,” said Matt Woods, Director of Imaging. “And we are very conscious of planning ahead as technology is constantly changing.” The imaging department at ORHC offers MRI, Diagnostic X-ray, 128 slice CT, 3D and digital mammography, bone density scanning, nuclear medicine and comprehensive ultrasound services. Many of these are available 24 hours a day.
The department is proud to say they are accredited by the National College of Radiology in mammography, MRI and computed tomography and their staff is very experienced in providing a high standard of care for every patient.
“Our radiologists provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional imaging services,” says Dr. Russ Norwood of Radiology Partners. “We use clinical best practices and our focus is on quality outcomes and rapid turnaround times.”
