ULTRASOUND TECH QUICKLY RESPONDS TO VISITOR DISTRESS

Megan Slater, an Ultrasound Tech at Community Medical Center in Missoula, Montana, went above and beyond last week to respond to a serious situation.

While on her lunch break, Megan was walking outside the hospital when she noticed a visitor anxiously looking for help. The visitor had put a toddler in a car seat and was walking around the car to get in when the child locked the doors with the keys inside. Response was time-critical given temperatures that day reached 90 degrees.

Megan kept her cool, immediately calling 911 and asking the front desk to send security and maintenance. With the help of the fire department, police, a tow truck driver and hospital security they were able to get the toddler out of the car quickly. The child was unharmed due to Megan being alert to the needs of our visitors and taking action quickly.
