Caring for Rebecca Chastain and Baby Harrison
Carolina Pines Provides Care in a Close-Knit Community
Rebecca Chastain is a proud and happy new mom. Her husband, Ben, is also filled with joy as they embark on a new chapter of life with their firstborn child, Harrison. While parenting will involve many decisions, the couple’s choice to have their baby at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center was an easy one. Rebecca appreciates the quality of care at Carolina Pines and places great value and trust in the relationship she has with her physician, Dr. Leroy Robinson, Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Carolina Pines. “We had some concerns after an initial blood test for spina bifida,” said Rebecca. “Dr. Robinson ordered an ultrasound and assured me that everything looked fine. It was.” Dr. Robinson conveys the importance he places on the care he provides as a doctor in a close-knit community. “Honestly, it’s a little more pressure taking care of the people you know, but that’s good because it enables me to communicate better and provide answers to any questions or concerns my patients might have.” Rebecca knows just how much it means to have a doctor like that. “Dr. Robinson has been working at Carolina Pines for 22 years—the babies he first delivered here are now graduating college. That’s amazing.” Rebecca says she can’t shower enough praise on the nurses and staff at Carolina Pines, which has been designated a Blue Distinction Center Plus for Maternity Care by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. The medical hands that heal, the community ties that bind. That’s Carolina Pines.
